Understanding your vehicle's Cooling system and the importance of its maintenance
Electric vehicle batteries and powertrain components work best when operating within optimal temperatures. The cooling system prevents freezing in cold conditions and removes excess heat during use and charging. This EV uses an electric pump to circulate liquid coolant to regulate temperatures in several high-voltage components including the traction motor inverter, DC/DC converter, onboard charger, and Li-ion battery. Inspections for leaks, contamination, and function are recommended to ensure the cooling system is working correctly.
