Understanding your vehicle's Wheel hub (to axle shaft) lock nut torque, front and rear and the importance of its maintenance

The wheel hub lock nut secures the axle shaft to the hub. This torque is important to prevent any wear, noise, or vibrations from excessive axle movement. The front and rear wheel hub lock nuts (each one on the left and right sides) must be tightened to the specified tightening specification every time the inspection is performed.
