Understanding your vehicle's Shock absorbers / struts and the importance of its maintenance

Shock absorbers, or dampers, help to limit the motion of your vehicle's chassis as the suspension's springs absorb and dissipate road impacts. This prevents excessive bounciness for a controlled and comfortable ride. Over time, the seals that contain the damper's hydraulic fluid might degrade and develop leaks, causing loss of motion control and degraded handling. Inspect your struts and shocks at the required intervals and replace as needed.
